Customized & Advanced Treatment
Your orthodontic records give us the foundation for putting that treatment plan together. We look comprehensively at the entire oral-facial complex. Our assessments look at how your mouth, teeth, and jaws are growing and developing and how your breathing airway is functioning. How you breathe, sleep, eat, and speak all have a relationship with your teeth!
At Kinetic Braces, we use only the most advanced technology to help assess and develop your smile. Check out some of the pieces of equipment that you may see in our office below.
Digital 3D Scanners
We use state-of-the-art devices that allow us to create a 3D image of your teeth and mouth to assist in building a customized treatment plan for each patient. The more insight we have into the state of your oral health and the layout of your smile, the more informed treatment decisions we’ll be able to make. You need a treatment plan that is perfectly tailored to your orthodontic needs, and this technology allows us to see more than we ever have before.
3D CBCT Scanner
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is a form of 3D imaging that goes above and beyond standard x-rays, giving us more detailed scans of your smile. During a scan, a cone-shaped beam will be moved around you while it takes images that are put together to create a 3D model of your teeth, bone, nerve pathways, and soft tissues. Not only does this device provide us with detailed 3D models of your mouth, but it also does it with a high level of comfort, only taking a couple of minutes to complete.
Soft Tissue Laser
Soft tissue lasers are an essential orthodontic tool designed to remove tissue, sculpt gingival features, and even guide tooth movement. Soft tissue lasers provide a focused beam of light energy that is absorbed by the tissue’s water and hemoglobin. Because of the absorption of light energy, the tissue heats up and vaporizes. The laser beam travels swiftly over the tissue, so Dr. Simmons can accurately remove or sculpt tiny sections of tissue with the most precision. Because the laser cauterizes as it works, the healing process is much faster and includes minimal discomfort for our patients.
